Ich denke, es würde auch ausreichen, wenn wir hier was zusammentragen, also diejenigen, die was wissen. Ich klammer mich da mal aus. Ich hab einfach nur einen Airedale. Das Einzige was ich weiß ist, dass er vom Zuchtwart begutachtet wurde

wie wärs denn für den Anfang mit einem Bericht, der schon mal in Deutschland veröffentlicht wurde? Ich denke da an Antjes Berg-AT-Geschichte oder an die Rettungshundearbeit von Meiko und Kirsten.
Übersetzung ins Englische würde ich notfalls übernehmen...
Wir könnten ja jedes Jahr mal von uns den Japanern berichten. (Nur so 'ne Idee)

Ich habe soeben eine Mail von Shino bekommen, sie hat mir den aktuellen Artikel "Hello from abroad" gesandt, der aus Australien kommt. Ich hatte Shino nur über unsere Familie erzählt, aber ich habe den Eindruck, dass dies einfach zu wenig ist, um einen Artikel zu füllen. Insofern würde ich einen Bericht über Rettungs- oder Bergdales gut finden.

Ich möchte euch den australischen Beitrag hier posten, damit ihr in etwa wisst, was wir zusammenschreiben sollen/wollen/möchten

Our Airedales think they live in Airedale Paradise, and probably they are right.
We live in a small valley in the heart of the Yarra Valley, 65km north east of Melbourne, on a property of five acres. There is a large billabong (lake) which is the centre of our landscape, and it is a haven for many waterbirds who choose to live here too. The billabong is surrounded by shady trees and many flowering shrubs, which attract honeyeaters and other small birds to feed and nest in safety.

So we share Wombat Bend with a lot of wildlife, and the Airedales are very respectful of the ducks and other waterbirds. Occasionally their high spirits get the better of them and they will scamper towards a group of birds feeding on the grass, just for the mischief of seeing them scatter ~ but mostly they are very well behaved. We also have a Bed & Breakfast called The Burrow B&B (www.wombatbend.com) so the Airedales get to meet many lovely visitors of the human kind.

We’ve always loved Airedales and like all of you, I am sure, there is no other breed of dog we would choose to live with. Over the past thirty years, Airedales have been our constant companions and we have always had at least two at any one time. Some of you may know our book, Emma’s Journey, (www.emmasjourney.com) which tells the story of our first pair, Emma and Aaron, and the lives we shared over many years.

Our Airedales come on holidays with us as much as possible. We may go to the beach or to the mountains, and they love it whatever we do. They just adore being with us and we love their company.

We currently have four Airedales, two girls and two boys. The girls are Emma (4) and Chilli (6) and the boys are Aerem (10) and Chester (12). Emma was named in honor of our first Emma. Chilli and Chester are both Rescue Airedales.

Airedale Rescue and Adoption is very important to me. I first became aware of Airedale Rescue when visiting England in 2000, to take part in Airedale 2000. This was a celebration of the Airedale Terrier in Bingley, Yorkshire, and I had the great pleasure of meeting Shino Sugimoto there. Since then we have become re-connected by Facebook.

In Australia, we do not have a very large number of Airedale breeders, and by comparison with other dog breeds, we do not have a high population of Airedales. However, it is important that we have a safety net of Rescue for any Airedales if their owners can no longer look after them.

Therefore we have a National Airedale Rescue group called AireNet Australia. This successfully brings together many committed people who love Airedales and can offer a great home to an Airedale in need. Our Facebook group (AireNet Australia) is growing rapidly and we welcome people from all over the world to join us. Even though our work is in Australia, the strong friendships between us, and giving support for all Airedales wherever they are, is what matters. Most importantly, the word of mouth spreads so that we can help Airedales in other countries to find new homes. Somebody always knows somebody else who can help. That’s how the network grows.

Airedale Rescue is extremely strong in USA and Canada, and you will find many groups on the internet. I do not know if Japan has a similar core of people who are always ready to help an Airedale in need, but I think it is something we can all undertake, whether we are breeders or pet owners.

Not only is Airedale Rescue strong in individual countries, it is in fact a network that is worldwide. One of its great strengths is the connection made possible by the internet, which now enables many thousands of caring people to give assistance, which makes a vast difference to so many Airedales. We may never get to meet most of these dogs, but we love them as if they were our own.

I must apologise here for including websites that are in English, not Japanese, but as so many Japanese speak and read English, I hope this will not cause offence or frustration.

I know that some of you have visited Australia in past years, and of course Australian breeders visit Japan quite often. It would be a great pleasure for us at Wombat Bend to welcome any Airedaler from Japan if you are planning a visit to Australia. The Airedales would love to meet you too!

Shino schreibt, sie bräuchte unseren Text bis Ende des Monats in Form eines Artikels.

Kirsten (Meiko) würde etwas über die Rettungshunde schreiben, der Text müsste allerdings ins Englische übersetzt werden. Aber Kathrin und auch Kerstin haben sich da ja bereits angeboten.

Nach dem Nordlichter-Treffen könnte auch da noch schnell ein Text verfasst werden, vorzugsweise von jemandem, der sicher im Englischen ist, damit wir uns die Übersetzerei gegen Ende des Monats sparen können. Bilder gibt es sicher genug.

dogkiki habe ich per PN gefragt, ob sie ihren Bericht beisteuert, nun schauen wir mal weiter.

Stand der Dinge:

Der Artikel über Luzie ist fertig.

Der Artikel über Meiko ist in Arbeit.

Der Artikel über unser Nordlichtertreffen muss noch geschrieben werden, da möchte ich aber einfach abwarten, was der Reporter in der Zeitung veröffentlicht, vielleicht kann man den Artikel ganz gut verwenden.

Ich habe meinen Bericht über das Nordlichtertreffen fertig. Ich würde mich sehr freuen, wenn jemand selbigen nun ins Englische übersetzen könnte, bis Mittwoch wäre toll. Ist eine fast volle Word-Seite.
